Flushing Protocols

"Infusion Therapy and You" Patient Education Workbook and Work Mat
Infusion Therapy and You, is an ideal resource that has been designed for the patient leaving the hospital with a catheter in place. This product includes two parts: a Workbook and a Work Mat. The Workbook describes in simple, easy-to-understand language the how-to’s for catheter care and maintenance such as recognizing problems, how to set up an infusion, how to safely store supplies, and how to dispose of used equipment. It includes a note-taking area and a section where the nurse can re-enforce infusion prescription information. The Work Mat is made with a laminated surface which allows for personalization of infusion-specific prescriptions and procedures such as dressing changes, and flushing of an intermittent device.
