Journal of Infusion Nursing
Your free subscription to this official, bimonthly publication will provide you with up-to-the-minute scientific and clinical information on the latest technology, research, and news that affect the intravenous nurse specialist.
The Journal, the premier publication in the infusion nursing specialty, covers in-depth clinical research and new, infusion-related products and services. Supplement issues complement INS one-day educational programs by providing in-depth consideration of the topics presented. Members contribute to the Journal by joining the Editorial Review Board, which determines the content of each issue, and by submitting original manuscripts for publication.
The official INS membership newsletter now brings members closer to INS with columns on medication safety, frequently asked clinical questions; liability issues; entrepreneurship; announcements of INS national and local chapter events; feature articles relevant to all infusion professionals; and a spotlight on the professional experiences of INS members.
The INS Knowledge Center
Our latest learning endeavor is our online Knowledge Center granting you access to recent presentations crucial to the future of infusion nursing. The INS Knowledge Center is a one-stop shop for online educational material in a wide variety of formats. These events are excellent occasions to earn continuing education credit and recertification units. They also offer networking, professional development, access to the newest technological advances in infusion products and services, and presentations by the world's leading experts in the infusion specialty.
CRNI® Certification and Recertification Programs
The Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation (INCC) exists to benefit and protect the public through assessment, validation, and documentation of the clinical eligibility and continued competency of nurses delivering infusion therapy in all practice settings. The CRNI® Certification Examination is offered twice annually, during the months of March and September, to all registered nurses who have at least two years experience in infusion therapy. Those who pass the exam earn the CRNI® credential and recognition in the healthcare industry. INS members enjoy reduced fees for exams and recertification programs along with special educational resources to prepare them for certification.
Gardner Foundation Scholarships
With the continued support of INS members and industry friends, the Gardner Foundation is expanding its scholarship and grant opportunities to make funding available to more infusion nurse specialists. In addition, the Gardner Foundation Capital Campaign is helping INS to bring continuing education and research scholarships and grants to more INS members.
