Presentation Content Description: This session focuses on a review of the recently published APIC Implementation Guide, “Preventing Catheter Association Bloodstream Infections in Adults.” The presentation will guide attendees through the new document and identify how this shift from CLABSI to CABSI will impact the focus on patient harm. Opportunities for vascular access specialists to collaborate with infection preventionists will also be discussed.
